Tegic Communications

I joined the founders of Tegic Communications to lead the prototyping of a novel input system for mobile device keypads. After simplifying the user interface, we attracted the first commercial license. In spite of many technical hurdles, we delivered an integrated system on time – and kept the start-up afloat.

After shipping T9 on more than 4 billion keypad phones and supporting over 80 languages, our next inventions – auto-correcting and gesture-based keyboards – welcomed the advent of touchscreen Smartphones.
